PhotoBook


What is a PhotoBook?


The PhotoBook is a perfect-for-all occasions book created to showcase your digital creativity. This digital press book is only available through our Print to Bind service. PhotoBooks are personalized with a wraparound photographic cover (not a book jacket) and you have your choice of Gloss or Matte paper.

How do I design the wraparound cover?


There are square and vertical templates to design your cover. Also see Getting Started for Print to Bind.

What sizes does the PhotoBook come in?


Square: 4x4, 6x6, 7.5 x 7.5, 9x9 or Rectangle: 4x6, 6x9, 7x10.5

What are the minimum and/or maximum number of pages?


The minimum is 5 pages (10 sides) and a maximum of 45 pages (90 sides).

What are your turnaround times?


Production time for PhotoBook is 10 business days “in-plant”, plus shipping. Orders received after 10am are processed the following business day.  November and December are exceptions due to seasonally high volume.

Can I submit multiple PhotoBook orders of the same design and various sizes on a single order?


Yes.

What is package pricing?


Discounts are provided for cloned PhotoBooks on specific size combinations, (2)6x6, (3)4x4, and (1)7.5x7.5 with (1)4x4, (1)6x6 with (1)4x4, (2)4x6. Log in to view prices.

Can I order Zook Books and PhotoBooks together?


Yes, and it’s only available through Print to Bind. The ordering system allows you to order Zook Book and PhotoBooks of the same design only. See step 3 in the ordering process to order your PhotoBook(s).

Can Zookbinders ship an order directly to my customer?


This is a great time saver! We can “drop-ship” the order directly to your customer for a small fee (see 2008 Catalog, in addition to the shipping charges. Your invoice will be mailed separately to your studio. All drop ships are sent signature required and someone must be available to accept delivery.

Do you offer discounts on PhotoBooks samples?


Yes, all sample PhotoBooks are 25% off.

What are the options in designing?


Use Photoshop or any design program that will provide a level 10 JPEG at 300 DPI.

What is the printing & binding safety area?


All images must be full bleed with a safety area of 5/16” from the edge of the page.

What are my paper choices?


Glossy Finish     Photo Lustre Paper      Matte Paper

The Glossy Finish and Matte paper options are digital press papers while the Photo Lustre is a folded photographic paper.

Glossy Finish — High gloss laminated surface
Photo Lustre — Lacquered true photographich paper (silver-halide)
Matte Paper — Pebbe-like textured non-lamniated surface
